Walking the Wall

snow, yeast rolls cooking in the oven, sisters, grandma on the couch crocheting hats, fat red-haired baby girls, a sugar cookie high, soft cream-colored yarn, snow in the trees, a boy named Michael, a girl named Katie, Family, an excellent book, movie night, Friends, hot pumpkin pies cooling on the counter, wrapping presents, singing songs, NOT singing Christmas songs yet, kids screaming through the kitchen ending in a pile of giggles, little girls in the snow with socks for gloves, baby snuggles and wide-mouth slobber kisses, stealing dad’s present–eating it–buying another to replace it, Family…

and that was the 23rd, just gearing up for Thanksgiving!
