Things to do in my lifetime:
Jump out of an airplane by 35 yrs oldDONE! August 2004- Swim in a pool of ping pong balls
- Soak a hot mud bath at a spa for my 40th birthday
- Publish a short story
- Publish a novel or book of short stories
- Go skinny dipping with a friend/friends at night
- Dance naked under a full moon when old and wrinkled
- Learn to belly dance
Go to a live concertDONE! Sarah McLachlan, August 2004- Go hang gliding
- rappel down a cliff (preferably at ocean’s edge)
- Stand in the middle of a forest of Redwoods/Sequoias
This
is a work in progress (I have to try and remember all the things I have
said "add that to my list" to), and while it might appear that these
things are just randomly pulled from the air, there is usually a reason
behind them or something that triggered the thought that…"Oh, I
should add that to my list." The jumping out of an airplane was
something I said a looooooong time ago when 35 seemed like an ancient
age, then when I realized I was nearly 36, my friend and I took care of
that one! The ping pong balls came about this summer from a crazy game of ping pong with my neighbor. The skinny dipping idea came from reading The Mermaid
Chair, and etc. I have NO idea where the dancing under the full moon
came from, I think from a conversation with a friend a long time ago
about being body conscious that led to, "Ah well, someday I won’t care
and will dance naked under the full moon"…sort of a "wear purple and
a red hat" kindof moment that has stuck.
