Old Books

More BooksI’ve been working on decorating my kitchen and put up a shelf–and of course, what does every good shelf need? Books–especially old books. So what better to use as a picture of the day?

Today’s the last day of my third full month of taking a daily photograph for a year–a couple near misses, and one or two hastily snapped pictures, but I haven’t missed a day yet. I am enjoying it immensely, although there are a few days when I’ve had to really dig for something to take a picture of–and those tend to be my least favorite pictures. Regardless, the sense of really looking at the world around me still remains, finding beauty and interest all around is still in full force, so I consider the process successful.

Photography, as we all know, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world. -Arnold Newman

  1. I really am proud of you for sticking with the daily photos, I think it is great. I really like seeing the world through your camara, it has been beautiful and interesting, so far.

  2. Well done on the daily photos. There is a big hole in my attempt during the month of February, but I decided not to throw the baby out with the bathwater and just dive back in. This photo is lovely.
