My name is Kelly and in this crazy, busy world I wear many, many hats. Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Student, Teacher, Writer, Friend, etc.

• I am the Daughter of parents who love me and raised me up to be the best that I could be. I learned my intense love of reading from my father, and my talent for writing as well. From my mother I learned (and am still learning) patience, unconditional love, and a deep respect for words.
• I am the oldest Sister of seven siblings: Terry, 41; Myself, 39; Craig, 32; Sarah, 26; Tim, 23; Joanna, 21; Emily, 18. We are such an incredible mix of personalities!
• I am a Wife to an incredible man I met when I was just 15 years old, and other than 2 years of that time until now, we have been together. We have learned many things on our road together–above all, that love is a choice, and our choice is to walk the long road together.
• I am a Mother and Teacher to two wonderful, intelligent, creative children whom I home school. They have taught me joy, sorrow, frustration, elation, worry, happiness, and to take every day as it comes.
• I am a Friend to a few people who have made it past my defenses. From these people I have learned that the joy of friendships can be found as adults.
• I am a Student to many teachers on my long, long road to one day becoming a college instructor of English and Literature. Slowly, slowly, I am creeping my way towards “what I want to do when I grow up”!
• I am a Writer to myself, first and foremost. It is who I am that I am most selfish and proud of.
• I am many other things, to many other people, as we all are. The balance is finding time and place to be no one to anyone.
